Your Stay at Butterfield
In order to provide the most authentic Butterfield Experience, we welcome guests for a week at a time
(arrive, Friday, depart Thursday) like a yacht charter, beach house rental or dude ranch experience. The non-refundable fee is $36,000 for up to six guests and is due with booking. All amenities, activities, attention of staff and meals and beverages are included and Butterfield is exclusive to you. We want you to feel like Butterfield is yours for the week. Larger groups can be accommodated for a surcharge. If adjacent schedules permit, we can tailor your visit to four days and three nights (arrive Friday, depart Monday or arrive Saturday, depart Tuesday or arrive Sunday, depart Wednesday, or arrive Monday, depart Thursday). The fee for a limited four day stay is $26,000 for up to six guests, is non-refundable and is due at time of booking. We strongly encourage travel/trip insurance.
The HomePlace
Constructed in 1929, the HomePlace was a family lodge. Through the collective efforts of dedicated local craftspeople, it is has been transformed into a retreat where families, friends and colleagues can read, relax, meet and chat on the veranda, savor meals of locally-sourced delicacies in the formal dining room, the wrap-around Porch or the CookShed and embark on a multitude of adventures on the property. With the comfort of modern updates, the renovated HomePlace includes five twin-bedded rooms and ensuite baths and one single with bath.
The FarmHouse
Larger groups can expand to other on-site accommodations, including the FarmHouse with three twin-bedded rooms, two baths, living room, dining room, and kitchen. The BirdHouse, BunkHouse and RiverCabin offer more rustic atmospheres yet modern amenities.
The BirdHouse
This cabin features two bunk beds, commode and shower, sitting area and porch. It is so named as the for the aviary that was once located here.
The BunkHouse
This cabin features a bunk bed, commode and shower, and sitting area.
The RiverCabin
Located on the banks of the Savannah River, a jeep ride from the HomePlace. It features beds for four, kitchen, commode and shower, screen porch, fishing pier
The CookShed
Our CookShed is ideal for a daytime or evening catered gathering with no overnight stay. With your input, Chef and crew can produce hors d'oeuvre or a multi course meal for your guests in our fully-outfitted outdoor kitchen that includes the original cast iron stove from the HomePlace. The facility fee is $5,000. Catering and other amenities are additional.
